Challenges to "Self-Supporting Shikoku " - Ports which vitalise regional economic activities |

Mainly from the perspective of coordination and cooperation, between ports and their communities, a goal of this issue is to explore ports roles in socioeconomic vitalization of Shikoku.
One aspect addressed especially through coordination, between various entities including local communities, is major earthquake disaster prevention. Another is revitalization of the region, with an emphasis on globalization and promotional exchanges for local companies with sea or ocean potential.
