FEATURES 〜The ports and harbors in the Middle-East & Africa〜

The rapidly-growing Middle East area by Petrodollar expansive power is being constantly developed under its Islamic political and economic systems, differing from advanced nation ones. Its ports and harbors such as Port of ubai with its world eighth largest container throughput (approximately 9 million TEU) are expected to handle more and more containers owing to the economic growth.
Meanwhile, the 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) was held in May , 2008 at Yokohama and the developing Africa is being spotlighted as a new stage of economic growth, drawing attention from all over the world.
