FEATURES 〜 Trainninng of talent to support ports 〜
 The acceleration of declining birthrate has made the decrease of skilled engineers and technicians real and has made it difficult for young engineers and technicians to be trained well. And less opportunities by the recent project restraint tendency results in losing technology transition chances. Under these circumstances, Japan is seriously facing challenges of technology transition from generation to generation.
 On the other hand, requirements for cost reduction and quality assurance increase more and more particularly in the field of public construction, and technology level required for companies, organizations, and each individual concerned are getting higher year by year.
 The feature of this month looks over the current situation and what to do and sorts them out, introducing a variety of on-going efforts, to seek the best direction to achieve smooth transition of technology skill over the generations and to realize improvements of its individual and organizations.
