FEATURES feeder transportation, ideas of attracting cargoes to International container strategic ports

At present, international container cargoes are connected to international container strategic ports, that is,Hanshin port(,Kobe/Osaka) and

Keihin port(Tokyo/Yokohama/kawasaki) by domestic feeder service and rail. In order to maintain and strengthen trunk line services between Japan and North America and Europe. we need to accelerate cargo inducement to the international container strategic ports by making more use of the feeder transportation.

The feature of this month highlights feeder transportation as a tool for collecting cargoes to the international container strategic ports and

introduces challenges, on-going efforts and future to its targets.
